Beavis and Butthead fans will finally get to see their favorite duo back on screen as an all-new movie based on the 1993 series is slated to release on Paramount+. Heh-heh. Beavis and Butthead will return this year with a brand new Paramount+ film, according to Mike Judge.
In an “announcement video”, the duo did their iconic “heh-heh” laughs while Butt-Head smacked Beavis for not ‘seeing him’ and quintessentially pokes fun at the word “mount” in their new streaming home. The announcement was shared via Twitter, but Judge did not provide a precise date for the return, only stating that it would be “soon.” What is the cause of the delay?
They need some time to get back in shape.
He said this of the duo, who are now at least in early adulthood chronologically, if not mentally. The adult animated comedy sitcom features teenager Beavis and Butt-Head, who are both voiced by Judge. The show’s oeuvre is marked by lowbrow humor, some startling self-awareness, and final failure.
The characters first appeared in the short film Frog Baseball in 1992, and MTV quickly ordered a full series. From March 8, 1993, through November 28, 1997, Beavis and Butthead aired on MTV for seven seasons.
It was resurrected for an eighth season on MTV from October 27, 2011 until December 29, 2011, before being cancelled again. In 1996, the team released a theatrical feature, Beavis and Butthead Do America.
