Canelo Alvarez is considered one of the greatest professional boxers of all time and it is hard to argue why. Alvarez faced off against Caleb Plant for the IBF champion last year. It seems Jake Paul has an idea of when he’ll square off against Canelo Alvarez.
The Pound for pound king had an all-out war with Caleb Plant and brutalized him. Caleb tried his best but simply couldn’t match up to Alvarez’s offence. In the end, Alvarez won in the 11th round. Thus, Alvarez became boxing’s only undisputed unified super middleweight champion.
Due to this, Jake Paul hilariously asked if he should sign Alvarez to his Most Valuable Promotions. The Problem Child also made it clear he wants to throw down with Canelo Alvarez in the future.
After knocking out Tyron Woodley in their rematch on December 18th last year, Jake Paul proceeded to call out Canelo Alvarez again. While speaking on the Boxing with Chris Mannix podcast, Jake Paul revealed that he will square off against Canelo Alvarez when Paul is at his peak condition.
“I tweeted like my bucket list. It was like Mike Tyson is probably up there. I think that would be the coolest thing in the world. And then I think Canelo is on there. And I think that could happen towards the end of my career when I’m in sort of at my peak physical condition and have all the experience under my belt.”
Jake Paul also recently stated that he can do some real damage to Canelo Alvarez. We will have to wait and see if that fight does happen in the future, as fans would love to see it.
