Chris Brown is getting attention again, but fans are now ragging on him for a new reason. The old adage goes, “Don’t believe everything you read on the internet.” It seems that not everyone has heard this saying. Chris Brown, in particular, could use a lesson or two in fact checking.
The rapper recently fell victim to a hoax that has been making rounds online lately. The hoax in question is a fake video claiming that China has launched the first “Artificial Sun.”
It was said that the artificial sun cost over $1 trillion, and burns five times hotter than the sun. If these claims sound too ridiculous to be true, it’s because they are. Fact-checkers at Newsweek have clarified that the video actually features footage of people watching a standard rocket launch.
The rapper, however, was quick to believe the hoax, and even logged on to Twitter to share what he believed to be groundbreaking news.
CHINA CREATES FIRST ARTIFICIAL SUN .. WE ARE SO BLESSED TO BE LIVING IN A TIME WHERE ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.. THE SKY ISNT THE LIMIT.. it’s just the view
The tweet has since been taken down. This is not the first time that Chris Brown has fallen prey to conspiracy theories. Ever the contrarian, the rapper was seemingly pushing flat-earth theories a couple years ago.
