Eminem’s contributions to hip-hop culture are incalculable. Slim Shady’s achievements continue to mount as his nonsingle, “Till I Collapse” is now eligible for 8 x Platinum RIAA status.
Chart Data reported that Eminem’s 2002 track “‘Till I Collapse” surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify. It is Eminem’s second song to cross the 10-digit threshold behind his No. 1 hit “Lose Yourself.” The song is also the first non-single to ever do so.
In 2018, the RIAA certified “‘Till I Collapse’ 5x platinum for sales exceeding 5 million. Its sales have surpassed some of Eminem’s biggest Billboard Hot 100 hits. With this new million added, Marshall’s joint with Nate Dogg has reached the lifetime selling figure of 8 million units in the US. This makes “Till I Collapse” eligible for 8x Platinum RIAA status.
Till I Collapse first appeared on Eminem’s 2002 album The Eminem Show, which topped the Billboard 200 and became his second consecutive diamond-selling album in the United States. Although it was never released as a single, “‘Till I Collapse” has had an incredible shelf life and made a few global chart appearances. It appeared in an advertisement for the 2009 game Call of Duty and has been used in several major sporting events.
Eminem is a near-permanent fixture on the Billboard and Spotify charts and we are here for it. As of now, it only remains to be seen how long Shady Records will take to update the certificate.
