Freddie Gibbs entered 2022 with a few feuds on his plate, but the one everyone wants to know about is the supposed altercation at Prime 112. Rumors circulated just before the holidays that Jim Jones had fought Freddie Gibbs inside the Miami restaurant. No video or photographic evidence has surfaced, and neither party has addressed the rumor explicitly, leaving fans to believe Gibbs did indeed lose the battle.
Jim Jones recently appeared on Angela Yee’s show The Lip Service, where he was finally asked about the reported brawl at Prime 112. It started with Yee asking if he’ll be releasing a joint project with Hitmaka called Prime 112, which he rejected. He stumbled over his words and gave out an uneasy giggle before saying anything.
False. I don’t know what he was trying to do… I don’t know why he would do that. Can we skip?
Yee then went on to ask about Jones’ alleged beef with Freddie Gibbs and whether the two are still at odds. Yee continued to agitate the situation in the hopes of eliciting a response, which Jones deftly avoided.
I’m in a point in my life where — we all make bad decisions and shit like that but it’s how you move past it. You’re done with that. You’re moving past it? I don’t know what you talkin’ about… I don’t know of any issue.
When it came to Uncle Murda’s “Rap Up 2021,” Jim Jones merely praised his fellow New Yorker’s comic side. Following Uncle Murda’s annual “Rap Up” single, in which the G-Unit member expressed his views against Gibbs following the suspected Prime 112 incident, the Gary, IN rapper revealed that he would be performing two back-to-back performances in New York City.
Take a look at the video below to see the interview. Around the 1:02:41 mark, Jones talks about his next record with Hitmaka and Freddie Gibbs.
