Pete Davison is a comedian and a funny guy but he certainly knows how to convey his feelings to people he admires. Such a display of affection can be seen from Pete’s latest Twitter post about the late Bob Saget.
On Sunday, Saget was found dead in his hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando following a performance in Jacksonville, Florida. He was midway through a nationwide comedy tour at the time. The Sheriff’s Office confirmed Saget’s death on Sunday after deputies were called on the spot.
On Sunday evening, shortly after news of Saget’s death broke, Davidson took to Twitter and penned a tribute to the late television star. Davidson culminated his statement by noting it was “an honor” to know Saget personally. The “Full House” star had a history of providing moral support to friends and fans alike.
“Bob Saget was one of the nicest men on the planet, When I was younger and several times throughout our friendship he helped me get through some rough mental health stuff. He stayed on the phone with my mom for hours trying to help in anyway he can – connecting us with doctors and new things we can try, He would check in on me and make sure I was okay. I love you Bob it was an honor to know you. Thank you for your kindness and friendship. My condolences to the family.”
Philadelphia-born Saget was most famous for his role as Danny Tanner on the sitcom Full House in the ’80s and ’90s. His other notable credits included the reboot Fuller House, How I Met Your Mother, and America’s Funniest Home Videos.
Bob Saget was not only a great actor but also a man with a big heart. He was inspired to launch “Bob Saget’s Here for You,” in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic to help people feel less alone. Listeners were given the opportunity to call in and have a chat with Saget about whatever they liked.
It is amazing to see young people like Pete Davidson having such great regards for Bob. He truly inspired the generation with his kindness and hospitality. His contribution to the world would always be remembered and cherished.
