Billie Eilish has become one of the most popular pop stars in the world. The unconventional singer has spoken up in the past about bullying. Eilish has always been open about the issues that she struggles with. Billie has faced bullies herself and knows all too well how damaging it can be.
Eilish recently came to the defense of Charlie Puth in a stitched TikTok video. Charlie has been dealing with a well-known online bully. Puth is also recently recovering from COVID-19. Record Producer and songwriter Benny Blanco has been trolling the singer online recently, even through his illness. Blanco’s unkind words were direct and harsh, according to Page Six.
“You’re a f*cking loser, Puth. Look at you. You sit in a room all day and make TikToks.”
Billie Eilish then jumped into the comments to defend Charlie. She said Benny does exactly the same thing. Followers quickly praised Billie for standing up for her friend. Charlie Puth responded with a simple “thank you.”
Benny Blanco has not made any comments regarding the matter. The reason for Blanco’s beef is completely unknown. Blanco has worked with major stars like Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber in the past. Blanco and Puth did collaborate on an Instagram Live in April of 2020.
The ongoing feud began in October when Blanco called Puth a loser and mocked his latest single. Puth responded in November and said he used to look up to Blanco. Charlie doesn’t know where the anger came from either. Now that he’s got Billie Eilish taking up for him, maybe the abuse will finally stop.
