Sarah Palin has her defamation case against the New York Times that may go to trial in the coming weeks. Sarah’s trial revolves around an article published by the New York City-based newspaper in 2017. The article linked one of her political committee ads to a 2011 mass shooting that injured former Arizona Congresswoman Gabby Giffords.
At first, U.S. District Court Judge Jed Rakoff dismissed Sarah’s complaint. The Judge pointed out that the journalist was simply expressing freedom of the press. However, Judge Rakoff was pushed to form a new conclusion in which he decided to go through with the trial.
Now, in a court filing in the Manhattan federal suit Monday, the former GOP vice presidential candidate listed a number of proposed exhibits she wants hidden from the jury. Her wholesome appearance on the singing competition show made it to the list of exhibits. Sarah wants them hidden because they could cause “unfair prejudice and confusion,” among other issues.
Sarah Palin appeared on season 4 of the show as the “Bear”. Her bear costume resembled cotton candy with light pink and blue fur with matching furry leg warmers. The former vice presidential candidate competed in Group C. She was sent home the same night as her first performance. No panelist could guess that the Bear was actually Sarah Palin.
