TikTok continues to rise in popularity and we’re seeing this generation develop online personalities more than ever. While increased attention for a pair of social media stars would be cause for celebration in their circles, allegations claim that one of them murdered the other.
Rory Teasley, also known as “2Toopump4tv,” is said to have gotten into an argument with his 10-year lover, Docquen Watkins, over the game Overwatch. Every day, folks like Docquen Watkins and Rory Teasley become TikTok celebrities by posting all kinds of entertainment.
Docquen and Rory were a couple who were somewhat well-known, according to ClickOnDetroit, thanks to the latter’s 222,000 TikTok followers on his “2Toopump4tv” account. Rory was known as “Everybody’s Gay Best Friend” and was known for dancing in his videos, but he was allegedly murdered by his partner last week.
Authorities claim that the pair got into an altercation about the shooting game Overwatch, though no details have been released. Details are still sketchy, but police say Watkins called them to report a fight with his significant other, who was “sleeping” on the couch. Teasley was unresponsive when they arrived, so they hurried him to the hospital. He was pronounced dead on the spot. Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard released a statement afterwards.
We see far too often across the country these days when people resort to violence over trivial and insignificant disagreements. There is never a reason where violence is acceptable over a disagreement. Those who do so will be held accountable.
Watkins allegedly choked Teasley to death during their altercation, according to police. They had been dating for ten years before to the catastrophe. Watkins is reportedly being held without bond and is charged with second-degree murder. This month, he has two more court appearances set. Teasley’s supporters have expressed their sorrow in his comment sections.
