Joe Rogan has faced his share of controversy. The most popular podcaster in the world has made a career out of allowing every point of view to be represented on his show. Some say that approach to broadcasting has been used to spread dangerous misinformation.

Rogan himself has frequently stated that he’s “just asking questions.” A group of public health professionals recently penned a letter to Joe’s streaming platform, Spotify, to demand action against the spreading of false COVID-19 information on “The Joe Rogan Experience.” The experts agreed: Rogan was causing harm to the public.

Twitter exploded with delight at the chance to drag the UFC commentator. They pointed out the danger they believe Rogan has placed people in during the Pandemic. The hashtag #ThanksJoeRogan was ironically whipped out to roast Joe Rogan.

“#ThanksJoeRogan for showing us that we should NOT take medical advice from dumb people who are obviously overcompensating.”

“#ThanksJoeRogan for helping kill so many of your fellow citizens, you arrogant, meat headed boot licker.”

“#ThanksJoeRogan for creating more work for science communicators who have to fix your careless mistakes.”

“#ThanksJoeRogan for personally making sure the GQP followers are wiped from existence. As a humble human being who loves this Earth, I owe you everything”

Joe Rogan argued on the air with infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci about the efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines. Celebrities including UFC president Dana White and Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers have even gone to Rogan for advice on how to deal with the virus in lieu of doctors. The public has had enough after two years of pandemic restrictions. Joe Rogan is squarely in their crosshairs.
