John Cena Set To Star In New Film With Alison Brie

John Cena is a 16-time World Champion and carried the company on his back throughout the PG era. From 2017 John Cena became a part-timer in WWE and has appeared sporadically due to his busy schedule in Hollywood. It seems he is set to star in another film already.

After 2015 John Cena starred in much better movies such as Trainwreck, Sisters, Blockers and Bumblebee. 2021 was arguably his best year as he acted in Fast & Furious and also in The Suicide Squad.

This year he starred in his Peacemaker spinoff and now he will star in another film. According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter, John Cena is set to star with GLOW actress Alison Brie in a new action-comedy movie titled “Freelance” by director Pierre Morel.

Filming for the movie will start later this month in Colombia. The script, written by Jacob Lentz, will focus on an ex-special forces operator who is desperate to escape his humdrum life when he takes a job providing security to a journalist who is hoping to salvage her career by interviewing a dictator.

Cena will star as the ex-soldier, while Brie will portray the journalist. We will have to wait and see how the film will turn out to be whenever it releases.
