Bart Scott knows all about playing football in the cold. The former NFL star recently made an odd suggestion to Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen about how to deal with the blustery January weather. Scott said the erectile dysfunction drug Viagra would keep Allen warm on the sidelines.
Josh Allen is hoping to lead the Bills back to the Super Bowl. Allen might even finally win one for the long-suffering Buffalo faithful. The Bills set out for their Super Bowl trek against the New England Patriots today.
A spokesperson for Viagra spoke to TMZ Sports about Bart Scott’s advice. The company has advised NFL players to speak with a doctor before using the drug. Even if Scott swears by this off-label use of Viagra, its makers don’t want to see football players taking it without a medical reason.
“Viagra or Revatio, both of which contain sildenafil as an active ingredient, should only be used in the approved indications and always under the supervision of a physician.”
The Bills famously won four consecutive AFC Championships between 1990 and 1993. The franchise never won a Super Bowl during that time despite an unbelievably talented squad. Allen is looking to break that curse.
Josh Allen has been notorious for performing poorly in cold weather. A massive winter storm is heading for the northeastern United States. Josh might be willing to do whatever it takes to get his team through the first round.
