UFC commentator Joe Rogan has faced a lot of trials and tribulations throughout his career. He also has one of the most popular podcasts on Spotify. Rogan recently blasted those who believed Conor McGregor’s career in UFC was finished. His controversial take on the pandemic is also newsworthy at times.
Joe Rogan revealed that he tested positive for COVID-19 and used a controversial farm animal drug to treat it. Ivermectin is a livestock dewormer drug that the CDC and the FDA have specifically warned against as a remedy to battle COVID-19.
Joe Rogan even had a bizarre heated discussion regarding COVID-19 vaccines with CNN’s Sanjay Gupta last year. Recently, Joe Rogan was also called out by doctors for spreading misinformation as many wanted him to be censored for good.
While speaking during the post-fight press conference following UFC Vegas 46, Dana White refined Joe Rogan as he proceeded to blast doctors for banning Ivermectin, which he claimed is a lifesaver.
“How about this? Ever since I came out and said what I did. It’s almost impossible now to get monoclonal antibodies. They’re making it so you can’t get them. Medicine that absolutely works, they’re keeping it… Ivermectin and monoclonal antibodies have been around for a long time, and now all of a sudden you can’t get them to save your life… I was able to make one phone call and get it done, anybody could’ve called and [got them]… now, Rogan’s been talking about it. I went crazy talking about it. You can’t get those things to save your life now, literally!
“There you go. Here he comes! No [I’m not a doctor], but I took [the drugs] and they worked for me so why shouldn’t I be able to take them again? Or other people. Why shouldn’t we able to take them? They f***ing hand out pain pills like they’re tic-tacs. Monoclonal antibodies and ivermectin won’t do anything to you, and pain pills kill you! Fact. And I’m not a doctor but that’s a fact!”
Joe Rogan previously threatened to sue CNN for calling Ivermectin “horse dewormer.” Rogan had also claimed that he got better after taking Ivermectin. Even Dana White thanked Joe Rogan for remedies after he tested negative for COVID-19 last year. Regardless, Joe organ will be called out for spreading misinformation.
