NLE Choppa, who is often compared to Michael Jackson by his fans, has a strong bond with Moneybagg Yo. Moneybagg is determined to quit drinking in 2022, and Choppa is a major incentive for him. NLE Choppa just released “Too Hot,” a collaboration with Moneybagg Yo.
NLE Choppa shared a clip of his Moneybagg Yo-assisted “Too Hot” on Instagram on Friday, January 14. In the clip, the pair of lyricists take over a warehouse in an unidentified location and presumably put the entire building on fire owing to their explosive bars.
Though NLE Choppa and Moneybagg Yo have been linked for some time, with the “Wockesha” rapper appearing on Choppa’s “Camelot” remix alongside Blocboy JB and Yo Gotti, the release of “Too Hot” marks the duo’s first formal collaboration.
Late last year, the From Dark To Light rapper challenged Moneybagg Yo to kick the cup and stop drinking lean as part of his health and fitness mission.
NLE Choppa told HipHopDX at the listening event for his Me vs. Me album, which is due to be released on January 21, that he was inspired to include Moneybagg Yo in the song because he believes they are meant to make Hip Hop history for the state of Tennessee.
“We both from Memphis and we really ain’t got no real song together. We really haven’t had our own, and I feel like we are the hottest two artists out of Memphis right now and that’s going to go down in history. I had to send that his way, and he killed the verse and the rest is history.”
It’ll be interesting to observe if Moneybagg follows through on his resolution. Keep an eye on Thirsty for more information.
