Tom Holland previously stated that Spider-Man: No Way Home will be the end of the Homecoming trilogy. He then made it clear that a fourth film featuring the webhead isn’t impossible. Holland further added that Marvel would build something different with a possible fourth film.
It was also previously reported that Spider-Man: No Way Home will mark the beginning of the shared universe with Sony and Marvel. Holland even admitted that he didn’t think the script would work at first.
Spider-Man: No Way Home also marked the fourth time Tom Holland acted in a film that earned more than $1 billion. It also featured Andrew Garfield, as he reprised his role as the webhead in the film. This came after Garfield denied being in the film multiple times last year.
Needless to say, Andrew Garfield’s role in the film was met with lots of praise from fans and critics alike. Since then fans have been wanting to see Garfield in another Spider-Man film.
While speaking to the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Andrew Garfield admitted he lied to former co-star Emma Stone about his Spider-Man: No Way Home role. Garfield recalled how he would constantly deny being in the film despite Emma Stone constantly asking her about it.
“Emma kept on texting me and was like, ‘Are you in this new Spider-Man film?’ and I was like, ‘I don’t know what you’re talking about.’ [Laughs] She was like, ‘Shut up, just tell me.’ I was like, ‘I honestly don’t know,’ I couldn’t even tell her, it was hilarious. And then she saw it and was like, ‘You’re a jerk.’ [Laughs] I didn’t want to tell anyone, I took it super seriously, I told no one.”
Andrew Garfield also recently explained the conditions for him to return as Spider-Man. Garfield won the hearts of man and it seems fans would more than love to see him in a third Spider-Man film. It remains to be seen whether that will happen or not in the future.
