Kanye West made headlines after he punched an autograph seeking man earlier this week. The victim has now been identified.
Ye punched Justin Poplawski in fit of rage. Justin is veteran hunter of celebrity signatures. The US Sun reported, Justin, 40 has been getting the signatures of high profile celebrities for 25 years.
Poplawski told the outlet, “Right now I’m just trying to live life and get back home,” The state of Illinois native added, “I still have other things to take care of” He refused to talk about the controversy in detail.
A video of the attack showed West, screaming in anger as he punched a man lying on the ground. The Los Angeles Police Department has named West a suspect in the attack which took place near Soho Warehouse, an exclusive members-only club and residence. The rapper is currently under investigation.
Kanye told Entertainment Tonight, “I’m saying, ‘You don’t know what I’m dealing with right now,” referring to the footage of him assaulting Poplawski. He added,
“I just finished these two songs, I came from the studio, and this dude, he just had this real attitude, like, ‘What you gonna do? And see that?’ Imma just tell you, that blue COVID mask ain’t stop that knockout, you know what I’m saying?”
According to The Sun, Poplawski has been collecting celebrity signatures since 1996. According to his profile at Real Autograph Collectors Club. the signature hunter has selfies with a range a of big names such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Barack Obama, and Taylor Swift.
