Wavy Navy Pooh was killed in a violent drive-by shooting. The incident once again the highlighted the violence filled side of the rap industry. Now new information regarding his murder has come to light.

According to People, Pooh, whose real name is Shandler Beaubien, was in his car with his young children along with another unidentified person when he was shot down. The shooting took place near the Miami-Dade Zoological Park and Gardens, commonly known as Zoo Miami.

The Miami-Dade Police Department issued a statement detailing what went down on that fateful day. They said the victim, Pooh was at the intersection of 152 street and 127th Avenue getting ready to make a right turn to go eastbound on 152 Street. Just at that moment, an unknown vehicle, a Lexus approached him from the driver’s side and opened fire.

The responding officers discovered a Toyota 4-door at the scene. The fire rescue team pronounced the driver dead on arrival. The lead investigators of the case have not released any information regarding suspects or persons of interest at the time.

Pooh was said to be involved in multiple North Miami-Dade shootings last year. It’s unclear as of now if the attack on him was for revenge. Meanwhile, the authorities are preparing for possible retaliation attacks, according to Miami Herald.
