Baker Mayfield Says Shoulder Surgery Is A Step To His True Self

The Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield went through a horrible injury on his shoulder when he messed up a tackle. Many feel that ever since the injury, he has not matched up to his potential. It seems that he is on his way.

Mayfield might not be up to his 100%, but he is not willing to give up yet. The quarterback finally went through a shoulder surgery on Wednesday and it seems that he will get closer to how he was prior to it.

The quarterback is already feeling better. He opened up to his fans on social media and told them that he is hopeful for the future, even though he might struggle through his rehabilitation.

It’s not going to be an easy one, but it’s going to be one I’m going to remember, and it’s going to be a special one.

There is a lot of negative sentiment amongst fans because of his injury. His performance does not help either, as throughout the years he’s only made 13 INTs to just 17 TDs.

Baker’s performance with the Cleveland Browns also didn’t help with the fact that the team missed the 2021 playoffs. While the quarterback still has a year left on his contract with the team, the next year is crucial in dictating whether he’s going to stay with the Browns or not.
