Cardi B Paying For Funeral Costs After Bronx Apartment Complex Fire

Cardi B is New York City through and through. A recent fire decimated an apartment building in The Bronx on January 9th. Cardi was heartbroken by the news. The horrible incident moved the rapper to take action.

Cardi is frequently known for getting involved in unnecessary drama. There is always something going on to keep her in the headlines. When it comes to Cardi’s home city, there is nothing but love. The lives of 17 people were lost in that terrible fire. Cardi B is offering to help by paying for the funeral cost of those who passed away.

TMZ spoke to Cardi in the aftermath of the event. Cardi hopes her contribution can help grieving families focus on healing. It’s the least she can do.

“I cannot begin to imagine the pain and anguish that the families of the victims are experiencing, but I hope that not having to worry about the costs associated with burying their loved ones will help as they move forward and heal.”

The 120-unit residential space caught fire after a faulty space heater ignited. A small area was initially affected, but two open doors allowed smoke to engulf the building. If those doors were closed, tragedy could’ve been avoided. Authorities are still investigating.

Cardi B. was deeply moved by the incredible losses suffered by families affected by the fire. The NYC native has stepped up to do what she can to help hurting New Yorkers. Kudos to Cardi for taking care of her community.
