The Dallas Cowboys suffered a crushing defeat against the San Francisco 49ers at the end of this season, and it seems that they are not taking it well. Cowboys quarterback, Dak Prescott in particular has proven to be a sore loser.
Prescott, of the opinion that did not do a good job officiating the game, urged Cowboys fans to throw garbage at the NFL referees. The people, understandably, have not taken well to this comment.
The NBA referees have called out Prescott for behaving irresponsibly, with The National Basketball Referees Association pushing for the QB to face consequences for “condoning violence.”
The NBRA took to Twitter to air their grievances, and in the statement they “[condemned] the comments by Dak Prescott condoning violence against game officials.”
The NBRA condemns the comments by Dak Prescott condoning violence against game officials. As an NFL leader, he should know better. We encourage the NFL to take action to discourage this deplorable behavior in the future.
It is certainly disheartening to see a key player in the sport behave so irresponsibly. Whether Prescott faces any consequences or not, here’s hoping that he learns and grows from this incident. Check out the NBRA’s tweet below.
