Lerentee McCray has found himself in hot water after a run in with the law. Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Lerentee McCray was taken into custody after a high speed chase. The incident comes just days after another NFL star, Malik McDowell was arrested after police claimed he was wandering around in the nude before charging at a deputy.

According to ESPN, McCray was driving a pickup truck at 88 mph in a designated 50mph zone. At approximately 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, police spotted the vehicle and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. However, McCray refused to stop his car and continued on.

It’s understood that not only did he kept on driving, but he also flipped off the police officer. According to authorities , McCray then began accelerated his vehicle to 100mph and soon a second police vehicle joined the high speed pursuit. The chase was called off because McCray was drifting and swerving through at least three lanes on the road.

Tavares Police Department said McCray seemed to be in an “altered mental state”, so he was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. While he was being treated, the cops claimed McCray admitted to being the person behind the wheel and told them “Oh, that was you? My bad.” The Jaguars said in a statement, “We are aware of the situation and are gathering more information. We have no further comment at this time.”
