The Spears sisters have been at odds for years. The pair have recently made headlines after going back and forth with their recent feud. From Britney calling Jamie out for her book to Jamie asking Britney to stop embarrassing herself, it seemed like a never-ending fight.
However, just recently Jamie Lynn Spears has now come forward and claims that she received an apology from her estranged sister. The ceasefire between Britney Spears and Jamie Lynn Spears has ended, with Britney publicly wishing she had pounded some sense into her sister and their mother when she had the chance.
Page Six obtained a cease and desist letter sent to Jamie Lynn by Britney’s lawyer Mat Rosengart. Mat fiercely demanded in the letter that Jamie stops referencing Britney derogatorily during her promotional campaign. He added, “If you fail to do so or defame her, Britney will be forced to consider and take all appropriate legal action.”
We write with hesitation because the last thing Britney wants is to bring more attention to your ill-timed book and its misleading or outrageous claims about her. Britney has not read and does not intend to read your book, she and millions of her fans were shocked to see how you have exploited her for monetary gain. She will not tolerate it, nor should she.
TMZ has now provided the update that sources close to Jamie Lynn revealed that she has not yet received the letter. Mat also went on to strike Jamie with a strong retort.
Britney was the family’s main breadwinner, he said, and she has always been a supporter of Jamie. We shall keep you updated on further information we receive on the matter.
