Kyrie Irving is certainly one of the best basketball players in the NBA, but his name doesn’t come without controversy. Last year many fans believed his NBA career was done for good due to his refusal to adhere to the COVID-19 vaccine mandates. He ended up missing quite a few games as well, and now that seems to be in the past.
Irving had many detractors who believed he wouldn’t be in any shape to compete after missing out on so many games. Naturally, his teammate Kevin Durant came to Irving’s defence.
He has been playing actively this month and has shown little sign of rust of any kind. During the Brooklyn Nets’ game against Irving’s former team the Cleveland Cavaliers, fans started heckling Kyrie Irving for no reason.
Fans started to get into Irving’s head but he had an apt response as he reminded them about the championship he brought to the city as he called them ungrateful.
“Got y’all a championship and motherf**kers still ungrateful”
Kyrie Irving was certainly a significant player for the Cleaveland Cavaliers, so his response to the heckling fans was not an unwarranted one whatsoever.
