Antonio Brown is one of the most well-known athletes in the world right now, and not for all the right reasons. Of course, the seven-time Pro Bowler just left the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after feeling mistreated by Bruce Arians, the team’s head coach. It was a crazy scene, when AB stripped down to his underwear and tossed it into the crowd before fleeing the field in a blaze of glory.
Many have sought to blame Brown’s mental health for everything that has happened since he walked off the field. There has always been speculation that AB has CTE, albeit he isn’t interested in talking about it. Brown, for example, recently featured on Brandon Marshall’s I Am Athlete podcast and stated unequivocally that his mental health is in good shape.
Why every time something happens bad, or how someone reacts, ‘Aw, he’s crazy, there’s something wrong with his mental health.’ There’s nothing wrong with my mental health. Someone told me to get the f*ck out of here. I’m not passive-aggressive.
Brown claims that he acted the way he did because he was provoked and that no extraneous influences contributed to his outburst. He was fully aware of what he was doing and insists that he does not want assistance at this time.
As Tom Brady and his Tampa Bay squad continue to work towards another Super Bowl, Antonio Brown is doing things his own way. AB has been all over the place. The former Pro Bowler appears to be showing no signs of stopping.
