Cardi B Receives Huge Props After Paying Funeral Costs For Bronx Fire Victims

Cardi B is well-known for her aggressive flow and candid lyrics, but she is also well-known for her kind personality. Cardi B announced yesterday, January 19, that she will help the victims by covering the funeral expenses for those who died in the tragic Bronx apartment fire. A man who lost five relatives in a single fire praised Cardi’s kind gesture.

According to TMZ, one man who lost five relatives in the devastating incident has referred to Cardi B as an “angel.” Haji Dukuray’s niece, along with her husband and three children, were killed in the fire, and Cardi is making sure he doesn’t have to worry about finding the money to bury five family members.

Haji, who used to drive 200 miles from his Delaware home to see his niece and her family in the Bronx, told TMZ that Cardi is an angel and that his family can’t thank her enough. He believes not having to face the financial burden is a huge help to his family, and he wishes Cardi well for stepping up to aid so many people she’s never met.

According to TMZ, the fire consumed a 19-story apartment building in the Bronx earlier this month, killing nine adults and eight children. It was the city’s deadliest fire in more than three decades. Cardi B, a Bronx resident, promised to cover burial costs and worked with NYC Mayor Eric Adams’ office to make it happen.

Haji claims he learned about Cardi’s contribution via Mayor Adams’ staff and had no idea the rapper was their sponsor at the time. Fat Joe is rallying celebrities to help with relief efforts, and he informed us that the majority of the individuals living in the building were immigrants who lost everything in the fire.

TMZ spoke with Jim Jones of Impact Zone Gym in New Jersey about Cardi’s gesture, and he praised her as well, adding he would expect nothing less.

Cardi also mentions Joe and numerous NYC radio stations as those who have stepped forward to help the victims’ families. Cardi has taken on a lot of responsibility, and she deserves all of the praise. Keep an eye on Thirsty for further updates.
