The Dallas Cowboys were humiliated by the San Francisco 49ers at the end of the season, and it appears that they are still reeling from it. Last day Dak condemned that he did not encourage his fans to violence against the officials. Unfortunately, Dallas Cowboys Dak Prescott was fined $25,000 for praising fans for the same.
Dak Prescott’s foot-in-mouth moment after the Cowboys’ loss on Sunday just cost him a lot of money. The NFL fined the Dallas quarterback $25K on Thursday after he commended fans for throwing trash at referees.
Fans tossed rubbish at officials as they fled the field of play following a contentious finale to the Cowboys vs. 49ers game at AT&T Stadium. When Dak learned that the debris-throwing was directed at umpires, he commended the actions.
“Credit to them, then.”
“I deeply regret the comments I made regarding the officials after the game on Sunday. I was caught up in the emotion of a disappointing loss and my words were uncalled for and unfair.”
“The safety of everyone who attends a game or participates on the field of a sporting event is a very serious matter.”
“That was a mistake on my behalf, and I am sorry.”
Dak Prescott will suffer a significant setback as a result of his fans’ violent acts. Do you believe Dak purposefully pushed his fans to do so? For further updates stay tuned to Thirsty.
