This year’s Super Bowl halftime show is going to be huge. Some of the biggest names in business have been recruited by the NFL to perform at halftime of America’s most-watched sporting event. Pepsi is already hyping the show big time.

A cavalcade of the massive names set to perform at the big game are featured in Pepsi’s latest ad for the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show. Filmmaker F. Gary Gray (“Friday” and “Straight Out of Compton) directed the spot. Eminem, Snoop Dogg, and Mary J. Blige get a call from Dr. Dre in a superhero-like cinematic experience. After linking up, the stars are transported to SoFi Stadium, sight of the February 13, 2022 game.

Dr. Dre has a history with the commercial’s director. “Straight Outta Compton” told the story of Dre’s influential rap group NWA. F. Gary Gray said collaborating with his old friend was a pleasure.

“Each time I collaborate with Dre, it seems to mark an important moment in entertainment history, from projects like Friday, Set It Off, Straight Outta Compton, to now the Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show. As a super fan, I consider it an honor and privilege to authentically build and create this moment with five of the most legendary artists in music history. It’s been a blast!”

Dr. Dre and friends are set to rake in crazy money for their brief halftime set. Snoop Dogg said it will be the greatest performance in the history of hip hop. The star power alone is incredible.

We’ll have to wait until February 13th to find out what this incredible collection of artists has to offer. If it’s anything close to the early hype, fans can expect a true spectacle. Even if the game stinks, halftime for the Super Bowl should be lit this year.
