Former professional skateboarder Evan Hernandez has found himself in hot water. The skateboarder faces a long time behind bars after he was busted for selling meth.
Evan was with with a 97-month federal prison sentence. He pleaded guilty to selling 2 pounds of methamphetamine. The 35-year old Long Beach, CA native also admitted to laundering Bitcoin for other dark web drug traffickers.
U.S Department of Justice said, Hernandez distributed narcotics and was in cahoots with major drug dealers to distribute the controlled substance over the “one of the world’s largest darknet marketplaces.” They added, Evan sold drugs in the period of March 2018 to March 2019, at the least. Federal officers said,
“Hernandez was involved in a highly sophisticated drug-trafficking operation, where he personally took on various roles to ensure its success: obtaining multiple types of narcotics, selling them directly to customers, and laundering money on the backend in a sophisticated manner.”
The DOJ claimed Evans sold 1.97 lbs of methamphetamine to a federal informant for $5K in 2018, unbeknownst to him. In addition to supplying drugs himself, the DOJ said Hernandez also supplied illicit narcotics to other drug dealers like William Glarner IV, who received a 10-year prison sentence himself for distributing drugs.
Back in his prime. Evans skated for the popular brand, Baker. On his social media page Evans claimed he’s signed to Lil Wayne’s TRUKFIT. You can checkout a throwback clip of Hernandez below.
