NLE Choppa has decided to push back his new album release for Me Vs. Me to next week. The rapper revealed that the decision was made out of respect for Memphis, as it continues to mourn the passing of Young Dolph. However, fans think it has something to do with NBA YoungBoy.
Choppa took to his Twitter to inform his fans about pushing back his album release by a week. The rapper mentioned that it was out of respect to Memphis. However, his fans weren’t convinced.
“Out of Respect for Memphis, I’m Dropping Next Friday! #MEVSME” wrote the rapper on Twitter. The move to delay the album’s release came after Young Dolph’s label, Paper Route Empire, dropped a tribute album featuring many of the late rapper’s artists, including Key Glock, Snupe Bandz, Big Moochie Grape, and more. The album also includes a verse from Dolph.
Fans were quick to join the dots and couldn’t help but imagine that his feud with YoungBoy also influenced this choice. “He aint drop cuz he knew he was gonna sell 4k first week LMAOOO,” said one fan. “Yb dropped stop playing we not dumb,” wrote another.
Choppa and Youngboy have been going back and forth with their feud. YoungBoy dissed Choppa on Know What I Know after Choppa called out the rapper for dissing O-Block in Bring The Hook. Despite Choppa’s former admiration of YoungBoy, it looks like it’s war now.
