Ben Affleck & Jennifer Lopez Engagement Is Around The Corner

Ben Affleck proposed to Jennifer Lopez for the first time nearly 2 decades back. The two are reported to be on the verge of getting married. Initially dubbed “Bennifer,” Affleck and Lopez were two of the biggest stars in the world when they started dating, and immediately became one of the most talked-about celebrity couples of the time.

They rapidly became a cautionary tale after Gigli’s poor box office performance and the collapse of their engagement, only to make a reappearance as the internet’s favorite nostalgic love story. Lopez and Affleck began dating in 2002 and married the following year. The couple announced that they were postponing their wedding in September 2003, and that they would legally split in January 2004.

After a public breakup with Jennifer Garner and an avalanche of media headlines in 2021, rumors began to surface that Affleck had rekindled his relationship with Lopez. Lopez would be the one to announce it to the public, posting a snapshot of the couple kissing on Instagram in July.

In a recent interview with The Howard Stern Show, Affleck was open about his love troubles, including the causes that led to the breakup of his first engagement with Lopez. Now a source close to ET tells that their engagement is around the corner.

Jen and Ben are doing great. Ben’s interview with Howard Stern didn’t really put too much of a strain on their relationship. They understand that things like this happen sometimes, and words can get misconstrued. They are madly in love and Jen totally has Ben’s back, which is why she wanted to make her support and stance known publicly. Things between their children are pretty organic at this point. The families respect each other and also get along, so things are all good and fine on that front. Their friends think they will get engaged eventually and it’s only a matter of time.

While Garner has not publicly commented to the statements, Affleck appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live shortly after to emphasize that, while he was unhappy in his marriage, Garner and the kids understood the context of his remarks and that he would never say anything negative about Garner personally.
