Originally founded as a record label, Jay-Z’s Roc Nation has grown to be much more, with the company being involved in music, entertainment, fashion, and even sports. Now a new man is leading Roc Nation.
Since the business has been steadily growing, it proved important to appoint a new Chief Operating Officer, which is exactly what happened on Wednesday, the 19th of January.
It seems that Brett Yorkman, who was already serving as co-CEO of Roc Nation Unified and President of Business Operations & Strategy for Roc Nation, has been promoted to the position of COO.
In addition to his duties as COO, Yorkman will also continue to serve in his two prior roles. In a statement addressing the promotion, Yorkman expressed gratitude to his superiors.
I am thrilled that JAY-Z, Desiree and the Roc Nation board have given me this opportunity and look forward to growing the company under their vision.
Desiree Perez, whom Yorkman thanked in his statement, was the former COO of the company. Perez had been promoted to CEO in 2019, leaving the position of COO vacant until now. Check out the following post.
