Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have gone through one of the most high profile separations in recent history. Although Kim has long since moved on to a new relationship, fans, and Kanye himself, have been holding on to hope for a reconciliation.
These hopes were at least partly fueled by the fact that Kim still held on to her collection of Yeezys, despite her separation from Kanye. Kim has been seen consistently sporting the sneakers throughout her relationship with Kanye, and even after.
Fans have also been trolling Kim for her attachment to her estranged husband’s sneakers, with one twitter user joking that “she gotta put the pete’s on instead of the yeezys, ain’t no way she did ye like that.” She still rocked those Yeezys.
It seems that Kim had had enough of the trolling, and recently went online to share pictures sporting new sneakers, which were notably not Yeezys. Fans were quick to notice.
Wait a minute… so Kim is not wearing yeezy’s anymore? Damn, this marriage might really be over.
Other fans have been joking about the absurdity that is making fun of Kim for her choice of sneakers. One Twitter user noted that “[fans] bullied her for still wearing yeezy.” Perhaps, these Nike Air Max 95s really are an attempt on Kim’s part to change the narrative.
