Teen Mom Star Alex Sekella’s Husband Adopts Her Daughter

Alex Sekella who’s popularly known for her appearance on “Teen Mom” has a 10-year old daughter, Arabella. The Pennsylvania native gave birth to Arabella on July 18, 2011, on the MTV show “16 and pregnant.” Years later, the reality star had some good news to share with her fans.

On the MTV show, viewers got to see Alex struggle with the decision to keep Arabella despite pressure from her mother, Wendy Keim and Arabella’s biological father, Matt McCann who both tried to convince Alex to give Arabella up for adoption. Since her birth, Matt has been mostly absent from her daughter’s life due to his struggles with drug addiction.

Alex raised her daughter as a single mother until she met her husband, Tim Peters. According to Us Weekly, the couple got engaged in 2018 after more than four years of dating and The Sun reported, they officially tied the knot in 2020.

Since then, Tim has rose to the occasion and has been an excellent father figure in Arabella’s life. His role as a father became official after he became one of her legal guardians. Alex took to Instagram to share the exciting news with fans. She captioned her post,  “It has been a VERY VERY long process but we can finally say Arabella is a Peters!!”

Fans were delighted with the news as they commented under the post to show their support for the couple. A user wrote,  “She has the name of the person who took care of her, Like a real father would do.” You can check out Alex’s post below.
