Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson needs no introduction when it comes to the pro wrestling world as he is still regarded as one of the all-time greats. He is also a dominant force in Hollywood and brings huge star power to any film he acts in.
The Rock is also a businessman and a very smart one at that. He also loves keeping himself in the best physical shape possible. He is universally beloved but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have his fair share of haters.
He made a name for himself as a professional wrestler but it seems that might not have even happened. The Rock took to Twitter and commented on a report and called it out for being false. The Rock then revealed that he almost left professional wrestling for MMA back in 1997.
Fun for journalist to dream up the scenarios if I had competed in @ufc (there was a point in 1997 where I considered going to Japan to train to begin an MMA career when my wrestling career was failing miserably). Realized quick I actually hate being punched in the kisser
The Rock is certainly glad he decided to stick with professional wrestling as it also helped catapult him to superstardom in not only wrestling but also in the world of acting and other businesses as well.
