Madelyn Cline Denies Rumors That She’s Leaving Outer Banks

Madelyn Cline has played Sarah Cameron on Outer Banks since the hit Netflix series debuted in April of 2020. The show became popular after dropping directly at the start of the COVID-19 lockdowns. Rumors have been swirling online that Madelyn may not be coming back for the series’ third season.

Cline’s character plays the girlfriend of John Cameron. The couple are at the center of the entire plot. Madelyn and John dated in real life for a year before breaking up.

The split was where the rumors began. From there, they have become out of control. Madelyn addressed the rumors in a since-deleted Instagram post.

“Hi so I’m getting asked if s3 is my final season of obx. I will come back for as many seasons as they will have me. I love my job and there’s not a day that goes by that I’m not greatful for it, and for everyone who has watched it. Not everything on the internet is true.”

It sounds like Madelyn plans to return to the show for as long as they’ll let her. There could be some on-set tension due to the real-life breakup of the two main characters. Professional actors should be able to overcome any difficulties.

Outer Banks was renewed for a third season in December of 2021. Madelyn Cline says the rumors of her being done with the show are just that. Fans of the series will be extremely excited to hear that news.
