NLE Choppa Speaks On NBA YoungBoy Dissing King Von After His Passing

YoungBoy Never Broke Again, a new song by the 22-year-old rapper, took aim at Chicago’s iconic O-Block, including Lil Durk, the late King Von. This did not land well, especially since NBA YoungBoy has some loose associated ties with Von’s murderer. Now NLE Choppa, is speaking out a bit on this subject.

Following Chicago rapper Lil Reese’s statement that YoungBoy isn’t on demon time and is simply rapping like the rest of these rappers all rhyme, Memphis-based musician NLE Choppa stamped the message. It seems that he is turning against YB after previously supporting him.

While speaking to DJ Akademiks, Choppa broke down how he views YoungBoy’s statements.

It wasn’t ever with me picking a side. Honestly, bruh, I barely read what Lil Reese said. I barely really read what he said! I just know what he was saying was siding with my boy [King] Von. If you would’ve asked me what Lil Reese tweeted, I wouldn’t be able to speak it word-for-word. I wouldn’t be able to tweet the whole tweet. At the end of the day, that wasn’t the purpose behind [me responding]. Being on a side or just trying to be in some sh*t, it was just off the simple fact that brother don’t be able to defend his name. I just feel like, with street stuff, if you did it, if that was your work, speak freely of it. Speak highly of it. You got every right to do it. That was your sh*t, that was your work, do it! But, like, certain stuff be coming from outsiders that wasn’t even there when certain sh*t happened… I just don’t respect that part of it.

NLE Choppa responds to NBA YoungBoy’s post, hinting that he doesn’t respect the rapper for becoming engaged in street stuff he had nothing to do with. NBA YoungBoy has had beef with NLE Choppa in the past. Never Broke Again even threatened him in a recent song. The heat between the two has been heavy.

Choppa and NBA YougBoy are currently at odds, with numerous stories claiming that they are feuding. The two rappers used to be buddies, but something has changed in their friendship. The rivalry between them has now spread to their supporters.
