Shaquille O’Neal Announced For Set At Governors Ball

COVID-19 variants are constantly raising concerns one after another but most festivals appear to be gearing up for the return of live music this summer. As vaccines were available last year, concerts and festivals resumed, and it appears that most festivals have returned to their regular schedules.

Governors Ball returned in September 2021, however the annual celebration has been scheduled to return to its summer dates in 2022. Governors Ball will be held at Citi Field in Queens from June 10th to June 12th, according to a press release issued this morning.

Kid Cudi will perform on the first night of the event, followed by Halsey on Saturday and J. Cole on Sunday. Migos, Jack Harlow, Louis The Child, Skepta, JPEGMAFIA, Coi Leray, Paris Texas, Denzel Curry, YG, Playboi Carti, Jazmine Sullivan, Ken Car$on, and more will perform at the three-day festival.

One of the most exciting sets feature Diesel (Shaquille O’Neal) on Saturday. Fans will be excited to see what the big guy Shaq has got in store for June 11. Tickets for the festival will go on sale at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 27th on the festival’s website. The Citi Cardmember presale will take place on the 27th from 10 a.m. to 11:59 a.m.

Founders Entertainment, the festival’s organizers, also announced that they would be donating up to $25K to help victims of the Bronx apartment fire. Check out the full festival line-up below.
