Eminem can hang with just about anyone when it comes to battle rap. Recently, there’s been a lot of speculation about Slim Shady’s appearance on the popular Verzuz battle series after Dr. Dre decided to post about his alleged participation. Now, it seems Dr. Dre is not alone. Snoop Dogg has also come forward to add more fuel to Eminem’s possible participation.
It all started after Dr. Dre decided to write a strange post on Instagram. The post hinted at the widely discussed topic of Eminem’s probable participation in Verzuz against a hypothetical opponent. The NWA veteran mentioned how he wasn’t sure if there’s a rapper out there who could beat Em, in the captions.
Although Dr. Dre’s Instagram post only read “Marshall Mathers vs Who???!!,” fans were quick to put two and two together. The post itself opened a world of conversations now that a platform like Verzuz exists. Unfortunately, all the discussions ultimately boiled down to the fact that for Eminem there is simply no worthy opponent to compete with.
However, Snoop Dogg decided to continue the topic and add to Eminem’s participation debate. The rapper reposted Dre’s question to his more than 50 million audiences on Instagram. Snoop Dogg will perform with Eminem, Dr. Dre, and other huge musical guests in the upcoming Super Bowl Halftime Show.
It only remains to be seen if Eminem ever faces off in a Verzuz battle. Shady has been an incredibly busy man. Such is the life of the most successful rapper who ever lived.
