Alina Kozhevnikova was fired from TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé after racist social media posts from her past were discovered. The posts spread online like wildfire. TLC was quick to pull the plug on the Russian star.

Alina emerged in the 90 Day universe on the current season of “Before the 90 Days.” The hateful posts have brought that short run to an end. Fans wondered if TLC would have anything to say about the issue.

The network has now issued a statement about the firing, according to TMZ. TLC said Alina will not appear on any future programming in the 90 Day franchise. The network has zero tolerance for discrimination.

“TLC discontinued filming with Alina Kozhevnikova following the recent discovery of her past social media statements. She will not appear on the upcoming Tell All, any future seasons of the franchise and starting next month, she will no longer appear on ‘Before the 90 Days.’ TLC does not tolerate racism or discrimination of any kind.”

Filming for this season of 90 Day Fiancé has already been completed. It was previously unknown if footage of Alina would wind up on the show. TLC has made it clear that it will not.

Alina Kozhevnikova is just the latest reality star to lose their job over racist social media posts. Jennie Nguyen was fired from Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” after similar social activity was uncovered. The networks will really have to re-think their vetting process going forward as these incidents continue to pile up.
