Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson needs no introduction when it comes to the pro wrestling world as he is still regarded as one of the all-time greats. He is also a dominant force in Hollywood and brings huge star power to any film he acts in. The Rock is also a businessman and a very conniving one at that. He also loves keeping himself in the best physical shape possible.
The new XFL will be launching in 2023, with The Rock. his ex-wife and business partner, Dany Garcia, and RedBird Capital Partners, being at the helm of the project. They purchased it from Vince McMahon after two failed attempts at launching it.
According to PWInsider, it was announced that both NBC and FOX will be simulcasting the return of potential XFL rival, The USFL, on 4/16. It will feature The Birmingham Stallions vs. The New Jersey Generals.
NBC Sports will be dealing with pre-game, half time and post-game coverage, while Fox Sports will produce game coverage. This will also run n both networks, including airing the same commercials. This marks the first time since the 1967 Super Bowl that two rival broadcast networks will air the same Live sporting event.
The Rock recently announced the date for the start of training camp. XFL players will report on January 3, 2023. We will have to wait and see how the XFL will turn out to be next year.
