Tom Brady had a long illustrious career in NFL. The athlete will be 45 when the 2022 NFL season kicks off. As another NFL offseason sets up, all eyes are on Tom Brady, however it appears he might hang up his boots soon.
Jason LaCanfora of CBS Sports reported that Tom Brady may have played his last football game and his retirement is imminent. LaCanfora cited several sources close to Brady who said he’s played his last game. However, Brady has yet to respond to these rumors regarding his future in NFL.
LaCanfora said to expect the announcement from Brady as soon as this week. Per LaCanfora ,a source close to the quarterback said, Brady is “very respectful” of the game as well as the Tampa organization. He’s grateful for all they have done for him.
However, the source added, Brady understands the ” ramifications” his decision will have on the team moving forward and he would never want to do anything that puts the playoffs in jeopardy. Brady said on his Let’s Go! podcast earlier this week that family will factor into his decision.
“It pains her (wife Gisele Bündchen) to see me get hit out there,” Brady said. And she deserves what she needs from me as a husband and my kids deserve what they need from me as a dad.”
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers player has spoken multiple times about his future since the team’s season ended with a loss at home to the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC divisional playoff round. Meanwhile, you can check out the tweets from CBS Sports reporting the news of his retirement below.
