Betty White was well-known in the entertainment industry for her extensive work and for being one of the first women to work both in front of and behind the camera. White died in her sleep on December 31 at her home from a stroke she suffered on Christmas Day. Cher recently joined the team for the upcoming Betty White tribute and she had a special way of honoring her.
According to TMZ, Cher will perform a fantastic rendition of “Thank You for Being a Friend” as part of the upcoming Betty White tribute. Cher shared a video of herself performing the “Golden Girls” theme song, which she recorded on the same sound stage where the show was filmed.
She’ll appear in the tribute, which will air on Monday, and the list of celebrities who will appear is incredible. The list includes President Biden, Drew Barrymore, Valerie Bertinelli, Bryan Cranston, Ted Danson, Ellen DeGeneres, Jimmy Fallon, Tina Fey, Ana Gasteyer, Goldie Hawn, Vicki Lawrence, Jane Leeves, Jay Leno, Anthony Mackie, Wendie Malick, Joel McHale, Tracy Morgan, Jean Smart, Mary Steenburgen, and that’s just the beginning.
Fans must be ecstatic about the show. There will be a never-before-seen video of Betty, plus a bunch of tributes. To get the latest updates, keep an eye on Thirsty.
