The Kansas City Chiefs have released Damon Arnette months after he was cut from the Raiders, and this occured after a very troubling arrest. The cornerback was busted for assault with a deadly weapon.
TMZ reports that Damon Arnette was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a controlled substance after a dispute allegedly occurred at the Park MGM on Las Vegas Boulevard.
The former 1st round draft pick was in Las Vegas on Friday night and he allegedly threatened a valet with a gun. It is unclear what type of drug the 25-year-old was busted for, but that gun charge isn’t to be messed around with.
A witness tells us Damon attempted to retrieve a car without a valet ticket … leading to a dispute. We’re told Arnette pulled a gun, and the police were eventually called.
This is not Arnette’s only legal issue. He is also being sued by a woman who claims that he hit her car and then pulled a hit and run in October 2020. Obviously, Arnette has a lot of things to worry about, and he is no longer an NFL player because of it.
