Gunna Gives His Mother Birthday Check That Leaves Her Speechless

Gunna has always shown affection for his mother. Over the years, the DS4EVER rapper has lavished his mother with expensive gifts. On Thursday, January 27, the rapper went all out for her birthday, throwing her a massive surprise party with all of her friends and family and gifting her a brand new Mercedes-Benz.

Among all the gifts given to Gunna’s mother, a check for an undisclosed sum was the one that left her speechless. In an Instagram video, Gunna’s mother almost falls back in her chair as she opens the check and reads the amount. A loved one can be heard yelling, “Don’t fall!”

“My job today,” Gunna wrote in the video’s caption with a green checkmark, “Love you ma!” Gunna will take his DS4EVER tunes to a Super Bowl LVI weekend party on February 11th, in addition to dominating Billboard charts and being generous with his family.

The YSL signee will perform at the Super Bowl LVI weekend party hosted by DirecTV and Maxim in Los Angeles. The event is called “MaximBet Music At The Market Powered by DIRECTV,” and Gunna will be performing alongside fellow Drip Harder member Lil Baby.

The announcement comes after Gunna’s DS4EVER debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 on January 18, beating out The Weeknd’s Dawn FM, which was expected to win. On the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop album chart, the Atlanta rapper then defeated The Weeknd for the second week in a row.

DS4EVER, the final instalment in Gunna’s Drip Season series, was released on January 7 and features Young Thug, Kodak Black, Future, Yung Bleu, 21 Savage, Chris Brown, Chlöe Bailey, Lil Baby, and G Herbo. To get the latest updates, keep an eye on Thirsty.
