New York rapper 22Gz didn’t shy away from beef or diss records at one point in his career. Now, it appears the rapper had a self realization about his past actions and has some advice for young rappers entering the game.

“All these young n-ggas, they got heat, I ain’t gon’ lie,” 22Gz said of young rappers in the rap industry during a recent interview with HipHopDX.

He then suggested, “Just gotta dumb they dissin’ down cause n-ggas don’t hear you,” He added, “n-ggas straight hear the dissin’ and say f*ck the whole song, ya heard?”

When the rapper was asked if this thinking plays into his music creation, 22Gz didn’t focus on him or his music. Instead, he turned the conversation to new rappers in the industry and laid out specifics.

“It’s how diss though, It’s day room how they do it type shit. Like bro, a n-gga moms can’t hear that type shit. You really trying to make it or what? You playin’.”

22Gz advice for budding rappers illustrates his recent growth. Just earlier this month, the rapper showed his full support to another New York rapper, Bobby Shmurda. After Wack 100 voiced his displeasure of Shmurda’s dancing following his release from prison, 22Gz jumped to Schmurda’s defense.

Meanwhile, you can watch 22Gz’s full interview with HipHopDx as well his music video for Retaliation, below.
