LeBron James is having one of the worst years of his playing career after suffering multiple injuries, The injury list keeps on growing as there’s another one on the books. LeBron was left out of the recent matchup due to his ailments.
LeBron has been undergoing intense knee pains over the last week. As a result, Los Angeles Lakers decided to sit him out of the last two games. This is his third straight game out as he receives treatment for the swelling in his left knee.
The Lakers are definitely on a downward spiral after losing three straight games. The Lakers looked sharp for a half against the Hawks on Sunday but fell 129-121. Coach Vogel said the team will be cautious with James moving forward.
The injury was previously described as knee soreness as James was ruled out of the Lakers’ game against the Philadelphia 76ers on Jan. 27. James had also missed time earlier this season with an abdominal strain. James will be kept on the sidelines until the knee situation gets better.
James is averaging 29.1 points per game and a whopping 36.6 minutes per game. He is tied for second in the league in scoring behind only Kevin Durant. A huge chunk of responsibility was on James, especially during the period when Anthony Davis was out.
Despite being one of the NBA’s most durable players, this year has been a nightmare for James. While James is out of the lineup, Los Angeles will look to point guard Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony, and Malik Monk for backup. Hopefully, we will witness LeBron doing his magic in the court soon after recovery.
