The Cincinnati Bengals are heading to the Super Bowl for the first time since 1989. On Sunday, January 30, the Bengals won a fantastic game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Recently after Joe Burrow’s Super Bowl berth, Kid Cudi gave him a shoutout.
Joe Burrow has had a remarkable 24 hours after defeating the Chiefs to progress to the Super Bowl. The Bengals star quarterback claimed that his childhood idol, Kid Cudi, called him to congratulate him on this win.
“One of my idols growing up, Kid Cudi, reached out to me yesterday.”
“You’ve got LeBron [James] tweeting at me or whatever you said it was … That part is surreal. The football part, not so much. That stuff is crazy.”
On Sunday, Cudi, who was enjoying his 38th birthday, tweeted at Burrow.
“Man this has to be the illest s*** ✌🏽❤️😭 beautiful f***in’ game today brother!!”
Joe said he mentally prepares himself by listening to “New York City Rage Fest,” a song by Kid Cudi in each game. Burrow likes too many of Cudi’s tracks to choose a favorite.
Cudi is from Ohio (shoutout to Shaker Heights), so it’s easy to understand why he admires the former LSU standout and 2020 first-round choice. The seeds for Burrow and Cudi’s bromance were sown when the Bengals drafted Joe with their first-round choice.
“Congratulations on being the number 1 draft pick. That’s wild. That’s crazy. You on your way. You just gettin started brother.”
Burrow was overjoyed as a result of Kid Cudi’s words of encouragement. Cudi’s message was really upbeat. Bromance is going on for years and it will be continued. For further updates stay tuned to Thirsty.
