Tisha Campbell shared a terrifying story with her social media followers recently. The actress said that she believed she was nearly abducted into a trafficking ring in Brownsville, Texas. Despite the horrible claim, Campbell never informed the police of the incident.

Many fans thought it was odd that someone who had nearly been kidnapped didn’t get law enforcement involved. The Brownsville Police Department agree. A social media post noted that unless crimes are reported, they are powerless to offer any kind of protection.

“The Brownsville Police Department is committed to providing proactive, professional, and effective public safety. Regrettably, our department became aware of Ms. Campbell’s ordeal via social media and not through traditional reporting means as would be expected from a victim of an attempted heinous crime.

Upon reviewing facts presented by Ms. Campbell in her video, BPD Investigators quickly launched an investigation as such cases are not the norm in our city. Through numerous interviews and reviews of security camera footage, we could not validate Ms. Campbell’s stay in Brownsville hotels nor any other claims made in the video.

The Brownsville Police Department takes human trafficking and incidents such as the one Ms. Campbell reported seriously and welcomes her to reach out to us to investigate the matter further.”

There is definitely something fishy going on regarding this story. It sounds like the police are skeptical of Tisha Campbell’s claims and haven’t been able to dig up evidence to support them. We’ll see if Tisha reaches out to provide further information.
