Coachella Will Sell Lifetime Festival Passes As NFTs

Coachella is jumping the NFT wagon. Like many musicians the music festival has also taken a liking for the crypto tokens. It has been announced that Coachella will sell lifetime festival passes as NFTs.

Get your Coachella sunnies ready and brush up on your NFT knowledge. Coachella is selling lifetime festival passes for the first time but you have to buy an NFT to get one. Coachella has announced a new collaboration with cryptocurrency exchange FTX.

The partnership will auction off lifetime passes to the festivals as NFTs. The the Coachella Keys Collection are a group of 10 NFTs that allow holders lifetime tickets to the festival. Along with granting lifetime festival access they also provide VIP on-site experiences for the 2022 edition of Coachella.

It doesn’t end yet. The purchase allows “access to Coachella-produced virtual experiences forever.” NFT purchases also include special perks at the 2022 festival like front row access to the Coachella stage, onstage access at the Sahara Tent and a celebrity chef dinner.

The festival going on an NFT craze is not surprising. Coachella’s parent company AEG renamed the Staples Center the Crypto.com Arena way back in November. Coachella’s NFT auction is set to go live this Friday, Feb. 4 at 10 a.m Pacific through their official NFT marketplace.
