Cad Bane unexpectedly debuted in Star Wars’ The Book of Boba Fett. While fans were extremely glad to find the character live-debuting on the show, they could not help but criticize the character design.
The Book of Boba Fett was announced in the post-credits scene of Disney’s The Mandalorian Season 2. While fans expected the spin-off show to maintain primary focus on Boba Fett only, other characters took over the spotlight.
The show’s sixth episode gave screen time to many characters straight from The Mandalorian, such as Grogu, Cobb Vanth, Ahsoka Tano, Luke Skywalker, and R2-D2. That included Cad Bane as well, who first came into the spotlight in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and remains fan-favorite.
Cad Bane’s look had some key changes that fans did not appreciate, and took it upon themselves to make the necessary changes. Cinematic Captures, a YouTube channel made the version of the character for the fans to see that is more accurate to his previous depictions.
The redesigns of the character do not have wild differences. Instead, they opted for recreating the deep blue skin of the character and down-toning his features to make for the character look subtler. Perhaps, future adjustments are in order for Cad Bane.
